Scleroderma Patient

A Hispanic womAn from Mexico came up to see Dr. Korn she was previously diagnosed with scleroderma. The woman was not able to open and close her hands, her skin all over her body was very tight and rigid. The patient was given a series of IPT for the delivery of a certain antibiotic. This procedure helps to get into the lungs and tissue that is very dense. After an 8 week series of IV's the patient was able to open and close her hands. She felt so well that she was cooking for her huge family and enjoying life again. This patient has been coming to the clinic for 3 years for her monthly blood counts and monthly maintenance IV.
