The Mölnlycke Health Care Mepitel is a transparent dressing and allows wound inspection without removing the dressing. The wound-contact layer allows the dressing to be left in place for up to 14 days depending on the wound condition. The long wear time of the dressing reduces the need for frequent primary dressing changes and its porous structure allows exudate to pass into the outer absorbent dressing. The Safetac layer secures the outer dressing from sticking to the wound and ensures painless dressing changes. This layer seals around the wound edges and prevents exudate leakage onto the surrounding skin and minimizes the risk of maceration. SC292005 is a replacement for MOL292005.
